Besides, can we really believe that it is normal for truth to be so continually sterile, and for lies to be so continually triumphant? 2. Efficacy in the Temporal Order. Let us say, rather, that it is in the order and the wisdom of action that we are going to look for a proper description of the notion of efficacy.
It can take us wherever there are highways, roads or tracks, but it cannot travel over sea nor climb a rocky cliff. If our destination is the Isle of Man, neither railway nor car will serve.
